Cocktail Hour Agreement

THE DETAILS

  • A retainer of 50% is due upon completion of this contract to secure your event date. The retainer is nonrefundable and will be applied towards your event total.

  • Harrison Goodell will send you an invoice to be paid 7 days before the event – payable by venmo, cash, or check.

  • This quote includes any discounts & all travel. No further discounts apply.

  • Song Requests: the client is allowed to request (1) song for the cocktail musician to learn.

  • Fees may apply if there are limitations on the time frame the musician needs to set up, or if there are restrictions on their timeline for this event.

  • Additional performance time is available in one-hour increments, at $300.00 per hour. Harrison Goodell reserve the right to refuse performance time once the original contract time ends.

  • A 90-day minimum notification is required, in writing, to cancel this event. We reserve the right to charge the client for the remaining balance if canceled within 90 days.

  • The only instance a retainer will be refunded is if we, Harrison Goodell, are unable to perform our duties. You, the hirer, agree that a refund is left only to the discretion of Harrison Goodell.

  • If Harrison Goodell is physically incapacitated and/or unable to perform for any reason, we reserve the option to send a qualified musician.    

THINGS TO CONSIDER

  • Harrison Goodell will use professional sound equipment to ensure optimum sound blend and quality saturation for a venue size up to 150 guests. To ensure a premium experience, events larger than 150 people may be charged a rental fee for additional equipment.

  • For outdoor performances, we strongly suggest that you have a rain or excessive heat plan. Adequate shelter is not a requirement, however, Harrison Goodell reserves the right to stop playing at any time should we feel our personal safety, equipment, livelihoods or instruments are at reasonable risk of damage.

  • Harrison Goodell will need a level, even surface to set up on - If the performer must go on the ground it is a requirement that it's a level surface. Please let us know in advance if we will be setting up directly on the ground so we can bring rugs & take appropriate safety & preventative action. A stage is not a requirement.

  • The smallest space required for this package is 8x8. If for some reason your space is smaller than this, or not exact dimensions, please reach out so we can figure something out. Please note that if not enough space is provided, we will have to alter floor plan slightly to make it work.

  • Electrical Requirements: (1) 10, 15, or 20 Amp circuit will be sufficient. Please let us know in advance if we need to bring extension cords for power.

SHOW STOPPERS

  • Any “MIC DROP" by attendees will incur an automatic $400 charge. Unauthorized use of the musicians instruments and/or equipment, will result in you, the hirer, being responsible for the costs of replacing/repairing any/all equipment that incurs damage due to guest negligence. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT AND ENSURE NON-DESTRUCTIVE GUEST BEHAVIOR. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY UNAUTHORIZED GUEST USE MUSICIANS EQUIPMENT.

  • Harrison Goodell will not be held liable for any incidents that should arise while on location. We are not responsible for personal injury or death to anyone in attendance, under any circumstances.

  • If completion of the contract is prevented, restricted, or interfered with by force majeure, events beyond either parties’ control, Harrison Goodell will make reasonable efforts with you, the hirer, to fulfill or amend this contract at that time.

  • You the hirer, understand that Harrison Goodell, is an independent contractor with respect to your event and is not an employee of the hirer.

THE FINE PRINT


By signing below, you, the hirer, agree to the prices and policies listed in this contract, and to the information above in its entirety. No other promises or conditions are implied. This contract supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between the parties and may only be modified or amended in writing, by the hirer, if signed, and in agreement with Harrison Goodell. Any/all amendments are subject to approval by Harrison Goodell. This contract shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maine and is non-transferable. I understand and agree to the retainer as stated above at this time to secure my event. I agree to pay the remaining balance for said event in accordance with the total listed above. I understand and will comply with the attached cancellation policy. I also understand that I am responsible for payment in full, and failure to provide payment, will result in charges to the card on file. I agree to the price of services, as well as the cancellation and refund policies.
